Our Story

Hi! I’m Emilee Rysticken, 21 year old entrepreneur and business owner. I opened my first Scream ‘N Conuts location in my hometown at the age of 17, just three days after walking the stage at graduation.

I found the idea for the “conut” on a trip to Prague the summer after my freshman year. It is a traditional European treat called a “Chimney Cake”. I came home telling everyone about my business idea. In August of 2018 the right group of people gave me the motivation to go for it! So I did, and ever since we opened in 2019 it has been an absolute hit!!

I ended up on the news all across the country, was in several entrepreneurial magazines and much more! It was nothing short of exciting, every single day. Wisconsin’s Lieutenant Governor even attended my ribbon cutting and interviewed me on his Twitter! I later was awarded Wisconsin’s Best New Business 2019

Throughout this journey I was NEVER alone and couldn’t have done any of this without the absolutely amazing people in my life. Starting with my crew of employees, all of which have been nothing short of the best, many who have become my best friends. They have never been just employees. They have helped me come up with ideas, fine tune designs, keep my doors open, be literal brand ambassadors without me ever asking.

Then there’s my amazing family and friends. This idea never would have come to fruition without their constant support with words, labor, financial support, helping to advertise, working shifts for nothing in return but a free dish of ice cream and the list goes on… forever. I am BEYOND blessed with the people in my life.
